The Plain-English HSA
The Plain-English HSA
Three word-for-word scripts for the HSA questions you get asked every single year.
Straight to your inbox. Then about one benefits email a week. Unsubscribe in one click, no hard feelings.
What’s in it
- One page. No financial jargon, and nothing you need a licence to say out loud.
- Written to be read in a meeting or pasted straight into a reply.
- Covers the three questions that come up most, including the one nobody answers well.
Why this exists
Every year somebody asks whether an HSA is just a savings account with a debit card, or what happens to the money if they leave, or whether they should be doing this instead of the other plan. And every year you explain it again from scratch, usually while doing something else.
You are not allowed to give financial advice. You are allowed to explain how the plan works. Most of the difficulty is staying on the right side of that line while still being useful.
These scripts sit on the right side of it.
